Carol A. Giles, MPH, CIH, CSP
Managing Member
I am from the western suburbs of Chicago and have lived in NJ, VA, PA, Grand Junction, Denver CO, and now back to the Chicago area. I travel to your work site and consult or work remotely.
My first love was the medical laboratory, but after seeing too many patients with leukemia and cancers, I wanted to prevent people from getting sick. I earned a Masters degree in Public Health to make an impact earlier.
I use my expertise in EOSH (Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health) to anticipate and identify both unusual hazards as well as traditional ones.
I solve problems. I address your basic and complex health and safety concerns, preferably earlier--in a design phase rather than after a project is finished.
I reduce waste, exposures, and inefficiency.
I am thorough. I was part of a Dept. of Energy pre-Tiger Team, inspecting labs for EOSH concerns, and hired by the client.
I oversaw Industrial Hygiene aspects of contracted, lead-based paint remediation and rehab of 7 water towers and tanks.
I write or review Health and Safety Plans, Chemical Hygiene Plans, Blood-Borne Pathogens, Hazard Communication, Ergonomics, Housekeeping, and other policies for different organizations.
Contact me to discuss your company's work and how it can be made safer and more efficient.

I reduce waste, exposures, and inefficiency.
- I implement chemical review processes and recycling programs.
- I reduced hazardous chemical waste by 33% in 2 years at a large university medical center, decreased formaldehyde exposures in a pre-clinical animal lab in less than a year.
- Decreased musculoskeletal disorders by 50% at a large DOE laboratory
- Evaluate work and workstations for ergonomic risks remotely and in person.
